Many of the reviews on here are complaining about how much the U.S.version copies the original. I've not seen a single episode of theoriginal and, to me, the U.S.
Version is well acted, entertaining andperhaps one of my new favorites. I could care less that it's word forword from the original because this is all new to me. The actorsportray the characters amazingly and I feel the storyline representsstruggling families realistically. Each character will remind you ofsomeone you know or have known. So for those who are like me and you'venever seen the original, I absolutely suggest checking out Shameless, the U.S. Download starbound full free. I look forward to seeing the rest of the season andmaybe one day I'll even check out the original. I was halfway through the American series before I even KNEW there wasa British series.
I think a was a little disappointed that we didn'tcreate it, but I was also happy that it was one of the few shows thatwe copied without ruining it. When I checked some of the user reviews,I was surprised to see how many thought the show to be appalling. OK,not everyone will share my love for the show, but to rate it SO badly? But when I looked, the author of nearly every bad review was a fan ofthe original show. This simply sounds like a case of liking what youknow. 'I don't care how good their cooking is. It ain't as good as myMom's!'
Once I finished the American series, I gave it about a month to settlein and then started watching the British series. But I'd like to thinkthat I was objective enough to judge it on its on merits, and notsimply that it's different than what I'm used to.Since, as many have pointed out, the script is nearly word-for-wordidentical, the difference lies mainly in how the actors portray thecharacters. So I'm going to give my character-by-character head-to-head appraisalof UK vs. I'm going to use the character names rather than theactors' names for simplicity. Starting from the youngest.Little Debbie: UK wins this one hands down. She stealsevery scene she's in. Who can not fall in love with this girl???Carl: This one's close, but the UK one is (at least in the firstseason) a little more deranged and fun to watch.Ian: Another close one, but this goes to UK, too.
US Ian is somber andgood looking, but UK Ian always seems a bit panicky, and the wide-anglecloseups of his face make him look pretty bizarre. Lip: This is solidly with the US. I like US Lip's darkness. He seemsmore responsible and intelligent. UK Lip is just kind of impish andunsure. You can depend on US Lip and he offers some of the only realfamily support to Fiona.Kevin: Dead heat.Veronica: Very different performances by each, but in the end, I likethem the same.Fiona: This was a difficult one to call, but I'm giving it to the US.And this is probably because I saw them first.
I just like her better.Hard to put my finger on the reason.Frank: Sorry, UK, but I just don't like your Frank. I understand thecharacter is usually drunk, but he seems that way even before he startsdrinking. He seems clinically stupid. 3d warehouse google sketchup.
US Frank (Macy) is equally asobnoxious, entitled, selfish and deluded, but he only seems drunk whenhe's drunk. At other times, his pontificating is fun to listen to. Youfeel good about hating the guy, because he's like this by choice. WithUK Frank, you have to pity him. I feel like I'm laughing at someonewho's mentally challenged. Why cant yanks (americans) create something creative??? What is itwith 'stealing' and remaking these classic shows??
If its not Britishit's Australian. And its all CRAP. They've remade all their ownstuff and it STINKS. No creative juices left in the US I think. Imean really come on be creative!!!! Stop pinching stuff and thinkingits great.ITS NOT!!!!! STOP RIPPING OFF CLASSIC British ANDAustralian shows.I mean can you imagine us Aussies doing a Marriedwith Children or MASH or Seinfeld.
It wouldn't and doesn't work.because WE have creativity. Something the American Film and TV makerslack. You did it in the 70's and even the 80's.you cando it again.
Tell ya what. I'll come over and write for ya.I'mcheap!!!!!! I watched the first episode and it would have been quite a good show ifI hadn't seen the Uk version (which is actually a Great show). Thesecond episode was better I thought, and it had more of Frank in it.Willian H Macy is a great actor, but it is a very hard roll to take offhe's to posh spoken to be a Frank Gallager and he dosn't really remindme of any alcaholic pill head i'v ever met.Joan Cusack for Sheila I thought was the perfect pick and I lookforward to seeing her crazy part take off in the story. Fionas part isplayed by Emmy Rossum and in the dancing scene in the 1st episode shewas trying too much to dance the same as the Uk Fiona and by doing thisshe ruined the scene which is supposed to resemble ' dancing likethere's no noe watching'.All in all it's not bad but nowhere near as the original so far.I still don't understand why they needed to remake a Great show when wespeak the same language.
I'v watched many American films where theaccents are a little hillbilly and difficult to understand, but I stillwatch them and get used to the accents pretty quick. Even when I watcha film in Spanish I can get the Idea of whats going on. Just Lazynessof the public I guess and showtime must have known the people wouldn'thave made the effort to watch something from the uk which depicts animage of the normal people from England and not this uptight poshimage(Hugh Grant) that all American paint in almost every film i'vseen. I'd advise anyone to watch the Uk version as it is much better inmy opinion.
Just saw the special Showtime preview of the show ON DEMAND, and itdoesn't work. I can imagine the rhythm of the show working better inManchester, England, but Chicago is not the American equivalent ofManchester, and it almost seems like it could have been shot in anygeneric blue collar area in any city in the US.
And considering theseries is supposed to star WH Macy, he is virtually absent from theentire pilot. He does a voice over for the first few minutes at thetop, and is schlepped in drunk for the last minute of the episode. Oh,and there's some so-so humping that's neither especially sexy or funny, but is obligatory for a premium cable series. This one has loserstamped all over it. This is a farce.
A perfectly good British show that any moderatelyintelligent American can understand without the need to recreate withAmerican actors. This is frankly a big steaming pile. It is an exactreplica of a show that is already in English. I'm an American and Ithink that producing this show at all is an insult to every literateperson in this country.
What are they going to do in this show that ididn't see in the seven seasons of Shameless that I have already seen.Anyone can take something that already exists and regurgitate it allover an American screen using different actors and a different setting.Garbage! Save yourself the trouble reading what follows if you want to get tothe point, watch the original British version and give this a miss.I've been a big fan of Shameless since it first started running onChannel 4, and I know for a fact it translates very well across thepond as a lot of my American friends have taken up watching it and loveit as much as I do after they decided to try it once they had heard megoing on about it or seen me discussing it on forums etc. What is the actual point of remaking it when the original is stillaround and still doing well and works both home and abroad? Is there adire need to re-brand everything and slap a huge Made In The US of Aall over it?
I don't know if you can call 2011 the year the BBC invaded Americantelevision, but it comes darn close. The first of the shows to premierein the new year will be Showtime's version of the British award winningShameless. Shameless follow Frank Gallagher, played by William H. Macy, and his not quite normal family.
For instance the youngest of theGallagher clan is quite obviously not Frank's yet that isn't even thefamily's biggest concern. Nor would it be the fact that in order tomake ends meet and keep the electricity from being turned off all thekids chip in including the youngest daughter who takes up a collectionthat is supposed to be turned into Unicef. Yeah those are problemsalright, but like I said they aren't the Gallagher's biggest problem.Their biggest problem would be Frank and his inability to stay soberlong enough to pay more than his bar tab at the neighborhood pub. With that being said the first 21 minutes of Shameless doesn't detourmuch from the British version and that's OK. Instead of feeling asthough I had seen it before (which I had) I just felt as though I wasbeing introduced to a new slightly (overly) dysfunctional family. Thiswas mostly in part to the cast who not only owned their roles theyowned whatever scenes they were in and I don't say this lightly. Notonce during the preview did I feel as though this was a family I wassupposed to pity and feel bad for.
This was a family I wanted to knowand to hang out with. Luckily for me starting Sunday January 9, 2011 Iget to hang out with the Gallagher family. I'll start by saying that if you have watched the UK version of this(Which by the way was made by Channel 4 and Company Pictures and NOTthe BBC as these other reviews suggest) You probably won't enjoy thisfirst episode. Its a straight transition of the script with someadjustments. However having seen shows that were changed beyond all recognition Ican say that is a good thing. The cast are excellent in their roles and the story which is far fromthe usual tame fodder of American drama is handled with honesty andrealism. The characters mostly have their own interests to consider aswell as the kids trying to keep their family together.
William H Macy is ideal in a role which doesn't allow him much initialscreen time but I'm sure future episodes will focus on him since Frankis such a fascinating character. Can't wait for episode 2. I don't leave reviews very often but I had to for this show. I have notseen the UK version and don't really care to because this show is justtop notch. I had never heard of this show since I work overseas butended up catching the 5th episode and absolutely loved it. I told allof the guys in the fire station about it and ever since we have had tocatch up on all of the previous episodes. Everyone in the departmentloves this show and that is a hard thing to do.
All of the charactersare just great and have so many flaws. Macy does an awesomejob as the dysfunctional father. I gave it the highest review I think ashow can receive because I don't think there is a perfect show, butthis comes darn close. I definitely recommend this show.
Note: I have not seen the UK version.I wasn't sure what to make of the first episode of Shameless. I wasn'tsold on the characters and the direction seemed directionless. In fact,it wasn't until the third ep that my eyes were opened. It's as if theactors have found their mark and the characters have come to life. While the ensemble cast is solid, and Macy is at his irascible best, itis the performance of three of the actors which makes Shamelesssomething special. Emmy Rossum, as the 'adult' glue that holds thefamily together, has rightly received the most press.
Her role requiresa combination of strength, resolve, humour and vulnerability -qualities that would thwart a lesser actress. Rossum is able toconvincingly bring it all together with fire and sexuality in additionto her other qualities.

Equally effective in his role as the younger brother Lip, Jeremy AllenWhite brings a world-weary innocence to his character. Blessed with amalleable physiognomy, White is at once rascal and protector of thebrood. White makes us want to know Lip better. That's rare.In a smaller role but probably my favourite is Emma Kenney as littlesister Debbie. Her deadpan wisecracks supply the laugh-out-loud momentswhile her heartbreaking scenes of longing for parental love bring atear to the eye of the most hardened soul. She can act toe-to-toe withMacy and still steal the scene. The rest of the cast is almost as good. Their performances would bewasted, however, without a tight script and fluid - but not frenetic -direction.
The third episode brought all these pieces together in afascinating show. Whether the writing and direction can sustain thislevel of quality over a season we don't know. Muramba marathi movie torrentz2. What we do have for nowis some of the best ensemble acting you will see on TV or on film. The story is very good as well. The family is sodysfunctional, its hard to resist. The characters are verywell-developed and likable. Each episode is great and its interestinghow many bad situations this family manages to get out of withoutgetting in trouble.A lot of people don't like this show because of its minor flaws, but ifyou look past those flaws, you will find this very enjoyable.I highly recommend it.

US Frank (Macy) is equally asobnoxious, entitled, selfish and deluded, but he only seems drunk whenhe's drunk. At other times, his pontificating is fun to listen to. I have never watched the British version of this show so I cannotcomment on the original.
I was under the impression it was a newShowtime story. I have to admit that started watching because I have always been a fanof William H Macy. However, viewing Macy in this kind of role wasstartling.
I had always seen him in more conventional-almost typecast- parts. I knew that Joan Cusak was a quality actress which lent theproject some further credibility. At first the show seemed to be almost forced. The plot seemed bizarre, and unbelievable.
It seemed awkward. Its quite common for shows to taketime to develop chemistry when the actors haven't defined theircharacters yet. The same can be said for the writers. However, I had never seen anything like it. In that regard it wasdynamic and worth the time. The young actors soon found their roles andby the 5th episode I found myself thinking about the show every day. Now I cant stop watching.
The actors are fantastic. Theplots are far more developed. The supporting players play a big part inthe series, and new characters keep rotating in flawlessly. The showhas evolved. And just for the record, Im getting really sick and tired of peopletrashing the show because in their minds it doesn't measure up to theoriginal. Its not supposed to be the original.

This simply sounds like a case of liking what youknow. 'I don't care how good their cooking is.
It ain't as good as myMom's!' Once I finished the American series, I gave it about a month to settlein and then started watching the British series.
Shameless Season 2 Full Episodes
US Frank (Macy) is equally asobnoxious, entitled, selfish and deluded, but he only seems drunk whenhe's drunk. At other times, his pontificating is fun to listen to. Youfeel good about hating the guy, because he's like this by choice. WithUK Frank, you have to pity him. I feel like I'm laughing at someonewho's mentally challenged.

The fourth period of a show is quite often a test for the journalists' room. Regularly, the initial two seasons have plot components that the showrunners had as a primary concern since the pilot, while the third season deals with the aftermath of those first thoughts. Be that as it may, by the fourth season, the first wellspring of thoughts has run dry, and the show has fans - either as far as strong viewership or an amicable system. So it is an accomplishment to pull off a best season in the fourth demonstration, yet Shameless has. This season is the most grounded yet, playing its hand so well that the cards are now on the table, as the show at long last moved far from a portion of it's ceaseless issue, which were extras from the preface of the show. The Showtime arrangement depended on Paul Abbott's Shameless that publicized in the United Kingdom.
A couple of the plotlines in the primary season were lifted straight from the UK adaptation, just like the characters, names, and essential identities. It was certainly not a flawless adjustment, to be completely forthright.

The UK arrangement's Gallagher faction lived openly lodging and off of social administrations checks; a great part of the commence depends on the possibility that the family can make due off of Britain's far more extensive open help designs and nationalized medicinal services.Moving the Gallaghers, to a great extent flawless, toward the South Side of Chicago didn't interpret superbly, in light of the fact that American governmental issues - and particularly Chicago legislative issues - has its own particular one of a kind and awful entanglements. However, now that these American characters have developed into their very own existence without the British show hanging over their heads - and now that Shameless is, for Emmy purposes, a parody, rather than a dramatization - the fourth season takes as much time as is needed in shaking off the parts of the first years that didn't work for the show, putting resources into what this American Shameless prevails at.In spite of the fact that the demonstrate that Shameless is presumably most like is its British sister, Downton Abbey. The eras are off - the financial classes are misguided - yet the interest and narrating strategies for both, are shockingly comparable. Like Downton, Shameless is far less about a specific story and rather for the most part about a specific family; and, however they don't live in a manor, a significant part of the show is told from inside the dilapidated Gallagher house. The Crawleys and the Gallaghers both have battled with new tenants of the house and lost relatives; they've likewise both battled with losing their homes, because of financial weights.Shameless Season 9 wallpaper:Views: 12873 Downloads: 0 Published on: 2018-09-04 Tags: Shameless Season 9 torrent, full season, Shameless Season 9 download, torrent, Shameless Season 9 full torrent, rargb, episodes, pirate bay, episode 1-12, magnet.
